1 Thessalonians 5:14-18 NLT
Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone. See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Being thankful is God's will for us. How does this truth change how you go throughout your day?
If you are not being thankful, you are not living according to His will. Is being unthankful a sin? How should we handle sin in our lives?
What role does/should the Holy Spirit play in our thankfulness? How should we rely on him in this area?
Is thankfulness a feeling or a choice? Explain your thoughts.
Are we naturally thankful in our daily walk? With God? With others?
