Welcome to college where your greatest friendships are about to happen! Chi Alpha is a "real:community" where we live life together outside the box. This means that we live in dorm rooms together, play together, laugh together, and share life together each day. This includes you! We believe that all people need community to live fulfilled and abundant lives.
42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.
43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. 46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
-Acts 2:42-47 NLT
Real:community leads to a real:devotion life where each student discovers the purpose giving words of Jesus in a personal way. Chi Alpha encourages each truth seeker, devout skeptic, and Christ follower to look again at the Bible through a new lens of faith, hope, and love that we believe can be found perfectly in Jesus.
15 You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
- 2 Timothy 3:15-17 NLT
Our Mission is to reconcile students to Christ; transforming the university, the marketplace, and the world. At Chi Alpha we take this responsibility very seriously, and we hope that one day you might also. We are Christ's Ambassadors (2 Cor. 5:20) to the campuses of Atlanta. We gladly accept this responsibility in hopes that other people would see Jesus through us in hopes that their lives will be changed by the love of God's powerful kingdom.
18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
- Matthew 28: 18-20 NLT
